In just over two weeks, Need for Speed: The Run

will be released to the masses. Before joining the rush of residence permits for the month of November, however, I had the opportunity to play the single player and multiplayer depth.

In short, it's fun. The multiplayer is fun, and less expected that the story starts to become somewhat of a believer. I am optimistic The Run
release, but also in private.

Need for Speed: The Run

(PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 [both advance], Wii , 3DS, PC)

Developer: Black Box

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Released: November 15, 2011

If you have not had a chance to catch the last preview The Run

casts players as Jack Rourke. An enthusiast trapped in an undisclosed problem, Jack enters a street race at high risk for San Francisco to New York for the prize of $ 25 million and an opportunity to save his skin.

This increased emphasis on history has deteriorated a bit Need For Speed ?? fans (myself included) - especially the inclusion of Quick-Time Events (QTE). After about three hours with the single player campaign, I have mixed feelings, however, optimistic about the story mode. This is an ideal configuration for the game with a strong opening sequence and a career in the Golden Gate Bridge that I really had a kick.

But as the story progresses, you begin to feel paper thin in some places. Characters are introduced with a story only a few lines back during a loading screen, and after a race or two, disappear from the plot completely. For example, when I went to Las Vegas en route to Chicago, the story of a new rival character mentioned in the loading screen, so I'm racing against the character of the upcoming event. Our race ends with the opponent's car out of control and crashed in a fireball of death. And that's all you see of him.

In contrast, however, the minimalist approach of the story means you spend less time in a scene where, in fact, more races. As a parameter for Run

"cross illegally" hook, the story works - and works very well for this. As a way to tell a good story actually, I'm not sold.

the end of my time with the demo solo, I found myself wanting to play racing history more real. It had its moments, and a part of me wants to finish the story of Jack, but I'll take it more as a break in the hallways. Oh, and the QTE, they still suck. Sequences that are actually there are a lot of fun to watch. I would prefer that everything looks like a normal scene. Fortunately, I had to play two of them during my time with the game, and were more than a minute later.
