Rock Band DLC content will start to leave the game store license agreements expire, developer Harmonix said.

Metallica "Ride The Lightning", "And Justice For All" and "Blackened" is the first and currently only, as affected. All three songs were released in the Rock Band store in November 2007.

Speaking about the possible withdrawal of the songs from the Rock Band library, Harmonix said on Facebook that "our music team has worked hard to develop licensing to ensure that has little impact in the community as possible, but there may be a very limited number of songs that are no longer available for new purchases in the store for Rock Band. "
  • Currently, customers who have already purchased the content will not be affected by the elimination of songs and can download them if necessary.
  • Harmonix said that future updates to Rock Band DLC license renewal is likely to come quarterly. The promoter says he is "as a priority" to explain the players before the content to expire.
"We will do everything possible to ensure that you have a last chance to buy these securities legacy catalog," said Harmonix.

The final downloadable track for Rock Band Harmonix store, "American Pie" by Don McLean, was released on April 2. In total, the store has seen more than 4,000 published songs by 275 consecutive weeks.

"We are very proud of the achievements of DLC we have proposed, in particular the production of the largest collection of music from any game available, and we would not have been able to release more great content without the support of our amazing community, "he wrote in February Harmonix.
