a copy of Final Fantasy rare 2 prototype, never released outside of Japan, could become one of the most expensive purchases of video games ever
Worried that your collection of Final Fantasy games is incomplete? This is your chance to take the last addition. Frank Cifaldi eBay seller has a U.S. edition of Final Fantasy II for $ 50,000.
"$ 50,000 -? For an old game" that you can scream. But this is the unedited version of NES title, which has been localized for the U.S. market after the success of the original adventure final Fantasy RPG, but never published. As the seller in the auction description:
"This special cartridge was developed by the good folks at Square Soft U.S. show of 1991 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas winter. Idea was to release the game later this year, but instead, the Plaza abandoned its 8-bit NES intends to focus on the new 16-bit Nintendo possible. "
If this car is nowhere near the price will be the most expensive video game ever bought. Previously, the most valuable piece of gaming software was designed to be another title NES - the gold version of the Nintendo World Championships cart, whether in a competition of Nintendo Power magazine in 1990. Only 26 cartridges were made and now cost up to $ 20,000 each. - Fefea said they had bought the car from a private collector in 2003 and claims to be the only official version available. It is certainly not a spectator, a white car with gray "Final Fantasy II Poster" scribbled on a label on the surface this did not prevent 85 eBay users who put in submissions so far - .. While most have been rejected
