postheadericon The Friday question: what classic piece of games hardware would you love to own?

2012 is set at one year of the new consoles, with the launch of Vita and U Wii and Xbox 360 E3 possibility of a follow-up. But amidst all this obsession with the new machines, which are the devices that we see in the past?

We asked a question on Friday for a while, so let's remedy that now. This year will be great for gaming equipment. There is the launch of the Vita PS next month and the arrival of the Nintendo Wii U later. In addition, everyone hopes that Microsoft will announce a successor to the Xbox 360 E3 event in June

is exciting - and it's an emotion that tends to get lost behind the pervasive notion that smartphones are going to kill gaming machines dedicated. Now I have a PlayStation for review and Vita is a beautiful piece of consumer electronics engineering - elegant, well specced, wonderfully ergonomic - it has to do with the qualities of good material fetish games

But this simple arcade machine console or a portable

that

want to own the annals of the history of interactive entertainment, and what? Not just for racing games, I mean the aesthetic object - the appearance of the thing, I mean something that can almost be viewed as an object of art. If you're into that sort of thing.

I provided three of my own choices below. Leave us a little of their own in the comments section!

This electronic marvel of the first four years of the consumer is completely unique, with its vector-based graphics technology and its series of plastic overlays that add color to the otherwise monochrome image. I love the screen arcade-style vertical and Training navigation button with four-button design. It looks like it belongs in a science fiction movie seventies.
