Festival returns with another game fascinating selection of urban and persecution of the real-life adventures of terror
There is something rotten in the streets of Bristol. IgFest city begins today, offering a range of "urban games where groups of actors involved in the issues of persecution throughout the Old City, following mission objectives are immersed in stories alive and interactive in other words -. That play video games, but in the streets and in person. Seriously.
The highlight of this year's event, which runs until 8 September, is likely to 2.8 hours later, an adventure zombie chase that encourages participants to navigate and survive Apocalypse not one dead. Organized by Slingshot promoter based in Bristol, the game is to follow a plan for a number of locations in the 2.8 operating hours allocated. Along the way, the team is attacked by zombies - or, more precisely, actors dressed as zombies, but it is very easy to get caught up in the atmosphere
- There are two sets of other shareholders who gets involved with overdrive every night of the festival. Cargo, co-developed by Honda and project Orchid legging it around town trying to deliver a package to a ship while being helped - or hindered - my mysterious AI contact you by phone. Incentive by Splash & Ripple is a stealth game in which players try to overturn a dystopian authority. Apparently, the combination of games, street theater and digital technology, is expected to finish with some surprise a spectacular finish - perhaps a revolution? urban games have been around for a number of years, often organized by art collective Blast Theory as interactive creative or unusual organisms that Hide & Seek. Theater companies like Punchdrunk are also exploring the boundaries between theater and interactive games.
