E3 2012: Why Ubisoft is the publisher of the show
shown at the top of his game
All eyes are traditional owners of the platform where the E3 press conferences resound around every year. We all expect great news and great game of first person the start of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, and at least a frisson of excitement of new equipment that make us feel good about the future of games and give some other Why something to work with publishers.
This year, however, in the absence of something really new and impressive to all Big Three, which was left to the publishers to inject some energy into the show.
In his press conference on Monday, Ubisoft hosted a very conservative first day E3, both after the famous (Assassins Creed 3) and the only thing impressive new game in the series to date , watch dogs.
As always it was a mixture of the sublime and the ridiculous, with some great games and board offset by a surprisingly super-irritating co-host and a battle-of-the-sexes show uncomfortable eSports, who made everyone feel vaguely confused and unstable, but after Microsoft yawn-inducing projection and confidence of the EA in the number of suites reputation, Ubisoft's conference was an editor at top of its game
The conference opened with Just Dance 4-1 delight of spectators game, or at least had been facing a different audience. Flo Rida was presented with a microphone bling-studded absurd to complete the mandatory selection of beautiful dancers, adding that the first touch of insanity at the annual exhibition of the French publisher.
But the real WTF moment came moments after a demo of Far Cry 3, which opened with what appeared to be in first person, sex, topless woman with henna to mount the reader into strips first person, as what looked like a sort of tribal ritual, with the sacrifices of blood and fire to smoke in the background.
things were abroad: as Far Cry 3 was the demonstration, we saw a tiger that is used as a weapon before being filled with bullets and violence stabbed in the neck graphic accompanied by a run through a burning house while the screens set up around the walls showing various blasphemies.
As the public has tried to pick up, we saw a player stabbed with a poisoned knife, sending them into colorful hallucinogenic trip that involves a transformation of gender and cleaner images very graphic suicide. It was ... special.
After seeing a man so SmartGlass show felt like two hours at a Microsoft conference before the morning, nobody was really prepared for it.
- earlier in the day, we saw Conor protagonist wading through deep snow and climbing fluid through the treetops, leaping from branch to branch, and later we saw in head an amazing naval battle, guiding a ship through stormy seas and cannon fire and losing in other vessels. It looked really impressive, and restored previous reservations about the franchise that had been depleted by the Assassins Creed 2, the Brotherhood and the revelations in rapid succession.
But Ubisoft has thrown its weight behind the U Wii, also showing a demonstration of multiplayer game Legends of Rayman along with four players using the Wii remote and a player with the joystick U Wii to help or hamper. The style of play Rayman Origins actions of the sublime art 2D and, apparently, the challenge of platforms as well.
